Thunderful announced that the Jumpship-developed sci-fi adventure Somerville will launch on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on August 31, 2023.
Somerville was initially released on Steam in November 2022 and holds a positive review standing with players. The game has players step into a world under invasion. The conflict leads to discovery as you navigate the environement to reunite your family.
“Since releasing Somerville on PC and Xbox last year, we’ve been hard at work on making improvements to our debut title,” said Jumpship Studio Director Claire Boissiere. “We’re thrilled to now be able to release the best version of Somerville yet on PlayStation, along with PlayStation exclusive features like haptic feedback and use of the DualSense 5 Lightbar to reflect the powers you are using in game.”
While exploring the game world, players will notice that there is no dialog. Instead, the game’s story is told through the ruins of what was left behind after the invasion. If you encounter an enemy, you’ll have to run or hide to avoid getting captured. Further, the game features multiple endings that reveal more about the strange events and other characters.
We’ll keep you updated on the console release of Somerville.
